I purchased my Acer laptop just this summer and Acer usually has clear.fi software.

Yesterday i was trying to install roxio easy media creator and after it there was a message that i need to uninstall one of clear.fi's feature for it to be installed.

Question: Is it okay if uninstall it? Will my system still works perfectly?

Thank you

Hi Nicole,

Clear.fi is a digital home-entertainment solution of Acer. It allows you to connect or share all the available devices on your home network. Using Clear.fi you can categorize your photos, videos, and music in your own way and easily store, manage and use your media from any device anywhere at home. You are also allowed to publish your photos and videos to Facebook, Flickr and YouTube.

Uninstalling this application may cause your other applications malfunctioning in terms of multimedia in the future. However, if you think that Clear.fi has no use for you, you can uninstall it anytime (have your back-up). Software is readily available in Acer website if you want re-install it.

By the way, Roxio is associated with multimedia software there are chances that it has a component that has a conflict with clear.fi that's why you are being prompted to remove that particular feature.

Hello Nicole,

Uninstalling clear.fi from your Acer laptop will not affect the performance of the easy media creator application that you're installing or any other application. These two see to be conflicting applications that cannot both work on the same PC at the same time, and that is why you need to uninstall clear.fi for roxio easy media creator.

If you want to use clear.fi later when you are done with roxio easy media creator, you can go ahead and install it. But right now if you want to use roxio easy media creator then go ahead and uninstall clear.fi. Your PC's performance will not be affected by that.

Regards,

Carl
