Unexpected Error 30088 An unexpected error has occurred

Hi,

In our Computers, Microsoft Office 2010 was installed properly.

We checked if all of the MS Office on each computer is working and found out that some of them terminated.

Log file:

• OSE service binary is detected at the location: C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedSource EngineOSE.EXE
• OSE is available at C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedSource EngineOSE.EXE
• This OSE has version: 12.0.4518.1014. Skip using this version of OSE because its version is too low.
• Running Source Engine process detected
• Running version: 12.0.4518.1014
• Error checking already running ose version. Error code 0x00000000
• Stopping running the problematic Source Engine process
• Error attaching to OSE, error 0x00000000
• Cannot start standalone OSE. from W:SwKits.BinMSOffice_Pro_Plus_2010ProPlus.WWose.exe. Error code: 0x800706be
• Error: Unable to select Source Engine process to start, see debug level logs for detail Type:

• Status: Open

Hello Martin,

This commonly occurs while upgrading Office. First thing to try is remove all the previous versions of Office;

The problem is with the permission regarding the registry and an error attaching OSE.

Hi Martin, 

It seems like you have already installed any office component on those machine and the new version of office needs updated OSE. 

According to my knowledge you need to repair/ reinstall all the office Components. 

If the problem persists then you need to clear you registry as well and install the fresh version of All Microsoft components.
