Unable to rename Mind Map file in iPad

I am using Dropbox in my iPad when syncing photos and documents but I am having a problem renaming a Mind Map file. It keeps on crashing when I am trying to rename it on my iPad’s desktop. The file has the same name and the color label still exists. How would I resolve this issue?

Hallo Drew Hudson,

Have you checked that during the renaming process you are not deleting the extension for that particular file too, because you cannot save the file without giving it a proper extension?

You also check that you are not altering the extension by allocating another one that might not be supported by that of file that you are renaming. You might as well try restarting the iPad and see if you will be able to rename the files thereafter, because that could just be a temporary problem that could be fixed by restarting the device.

Unable to rename Mind Map file in iPad

Hi Drew,

The crashes usually occur when you have installed exra widgets (windows gadgets) on your iPad. You can check to make sure there is no Cydia installed on your device.

In the renaming process, make sure you do not delete the file extensions and that the extensions you are trying to save are compatible with your Mind Map manager. You can try to use XMind which is a great Mind Map tool that supports all the mind map files from other software. It allows you to rename, edit or save a mind map file in a format of your choice.
