I am using Nero 9 with my Windows XP Pro. I usually use Nero for burning my files. Yesterday,

I have downloaded a movie which is a .VOB file and tried to play it using Nero Showtime and got an internal error.

Please see the ScreenShot.

Nero ShowTime

Internal error. Cannot build graph. The application may be installed incorrectly.

As far as I can remember I have a smooth installation of Nero 9.

Just to make sure, I already performed a reinstallation of the program but did not fixed this issue.

Kindly help me with these thanks.

You have not mention whether you have played any other .vob file earlier or not. As per your question, please try to update your software. Because most probably you must be lacking behind because of the codec it needs to play .vob file. Codec is an important thing to play videos these days. Different video formats needs different codecs. So, install the codecs and it would work.

If it does not help then try uninstalling completely and restart the computer and then again install the Nero complete package software and then install Nero express vision 2 software. Now try playing your video. This would probably solve your problem.

Thanks.

You don’t need to uninstall and reinstall Nero 9, there’s no problem with it. Although Nero can play some video files but there are ones that it really can not play even if the video type is supported.

I already encountered it before using the Nero package that comes with my DVD writer. When I played a certain video file the Nero player displayed an error on the screen and suggested that I should install a different version of Nero which is higher than the one I’m using.

The best solution here would be to install a media player that supports playing of DVD video file (.vob).
