Unable to Play Channels in VLC Media Player

Please help, I can’t seem to play any channels using VLC media player. My VLC media player’s version is 2.1.0 -git Rincewind and I am using it on an Ubuntu Precise Pangolin machine.

Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL http://www.metachannels.com/episodes/play/16282905.m4v?_channels-reader_session=cfeb69da1c805fa6449e85dc722202a4&device=vlc'. Check the log for details.

Hi,

I will assist you to solve your problem with VLC. The VLC log is saying that, the links and servers it is trying to connect are not responding. They might be busy at that moment. Try in another computer. If you have enabled firewall, then it could be blocking your connection. And if you are in office, then this is definitely the problem. Try opening other links if you have.
