Unable to open video file on Windows XP Operating System

Hello,

I am using Windows XP Operating System and trying to open video file but I am unable to access this type of file and getting the following error message as attached below in the image. How can I avoid this annoying error message? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1.To resolve the problem of opening .mts or .mt2 formats (basic mpeg2 video formats) you need to download some codecs for your Windows Media player. But there are some drawbacks with them. An average user will not be able to find out which part of the decompression of codec is causing a problem if any occurs.
