Hello,

I am unable to open Quicken 2007 application and getting this weird error message saying “You can’t open the application Quicken 2007 because PowerPC applications are no longer supported”.

What is the main problem?

Have any idea to fix it properly?

You can’t open the application Quicken 2007 because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

I am using Lion OS and now getting the following error message while opening Quicken to manage bank and investments accounts because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

Any suggestion would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ira!

From what you're saying, I'm guessing you either have a Mac Lion or Mountain Lion, since the Quicken stops working. There was a huge problem in the beginning, because people couldn't use Quicken anymore once they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion, and they even lost some data if they couldn't find another way to access the application.

Then, they went on to using iBank, which is a similar alternative that works perfectly on Mac.

But if you're still a Quicken 2007 fan, you may want to download the version that's compatible with Lion.

There's also another version, Quicken Essentials for Mac, but it has by far a lot less features than the full one.

So, depending on what you prefer most, choose the perfect version for you.

Good luck!
