Hello, I wanted to install Desktop Manager but I failed. It says:
“BlackBerry Desktop Software 6.1 Installer Information.
The installation files cannot be validated. Please verify the installer package and try again.”
I tried downloading it again and I get the same error message. I went to search online for help and came with distinct URL that has similar issues but it doesn’t help at all. I even used VeriSign in installing root certificates but it still didn’t work. Any suggestions?

The problem may be occurring because of a simple as a corrupt download file or because of some trails left behind from something precious that is preventing this install. Therefore, you will need to follow the steps below to try and resolve the problem. You will need to be logged on the PC on an account with full administrative rights.

You will need to remove your device OS update package from your PC, and that you will go to the control panel under the add/remove programs.

Then you will cleanly uninstall the Desktop Manager:

You will need to get a fresh download of the DTM software from:https://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop

Download and Install the DTM to your PC, and then

Start the organizer configuration over.

Unable to install Desktop Manager
Follow these steps to install ' BlackBerry Desktop Manager',
1. Run the program and login Administrator.
2. Download newest version of program. See KB12532 for instructions.
3. Choose Computer, then Organize, then Folder, then Search Options and click View.
4. In 'Advanced Settings', 'Hide Extensions for Known File Types' shall be cleared.
5. Click-right BlackBerry_Desktop_Software.exe and file extension shall be changed from .exe to .zip.
6. Choose ‘Extract All’.
7. As long as extraction is finished, open folder.
8. Run BlackBerrySetup.exe as Administrator.
9. Click twice BlackBerrySetup.exe and complete installation of BlackBerry Desktop Manager of on-screen prompts.
