Unable to Download after upgrade

Am working on a Pc that has windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center, it’s recently upgraded from windows 8.1` Standard. After windows updates had been applied, I tried downloading a gotomeeting.com remote support tool to get a third party vendor in to install and license their software. While downloading with Internet Explorer 11, it hung at 18%. I tried with Firefox and it hung at 35%. I made sure there was no internet problem and I could not download from joinme.com either. My attempts to download the remote software from other office computers all worked. I have researched this issue with no luck of how to resolve it. Anyone else with different thoughts? Thanks for your help.

Hello,

Even if you don’t have trouble with other PCs while downloading, this problem might be of connection issue of the browsers. Browsers are mainly for browsing site, not for downloading and their default downloading method isn’t so good. So, any third party download manager is highly recommended.

There are lots of download manager online. Internet Download Manager or IDM is the best of all. It’s a paid software but gives the best performance ever.

There are also other free alternatives like EagleGet, FashGet, Orbit Download Manager etc. They are free and powerful for downloading any file with the maximum speed of your internet connection.

Also, using the latest version of your browser is recommended as it’ll provide better performance with those download managers. Download Firefox.
