Hi there Judith Lauren,

Hiding folders inside the USB or PEN drive just follow these steps:

1. Open your pen driver.

2. Create or use your existing folder in the drive.

3. Open command prompt by opening Run and type cmd.

4. Type the name of your drive for example f:Alteus then Enter.

5. Type the name of the folder you want to hide. Enter

6. Type attrib (folder name) +s +h for hiding folder

7. Type attrib (folder name) –s –h for retrieving the folder.

Hope this information helps.

Hello Judith,

First of all you cannot able to hide the folder in the pen drive.

Only thing you can able to do is to convert the normal file into a system file which will not be shown when you give "Show Hidden Files" option.

To convert the normal file into the system file follow these steps

1. Open the command prompt and go for the particular drive (Like H: or F: )

2. Type attrib +s +h filename

In this +s means converting into system file

+h means converting into a hidden file.

I have attached the image to execute the commands in the command prompt

The sad part is that if you enable "show system files" then the files will be shown, but many people don't know how to enable it as you go in depth inside Windows to enable it.

regards

Naveen

Hello,

Yes it is possible.

Follow these simple procedures please.

First select on the folder right click on the properties button, window that pops up click on hide option, on the top of your window, click on tools, folder option and click on view tab, click don’t show hidden folders, finally click on ok.

That will be all you need to hide folder on a pen drive.
