Unable to delete MPASM Suite: Couldn’t Locate Build Tool

Hi to all,

I have a problem in deleting files mainly the MPASM suite.  I have tried removing it a couple of times; however, I just can’t seem to do it.  Below is the HTML code.

Language tool versions: mplib.exe v4.41

Clean: Deleting intermediary and output files.

Clean: Done.

Couldn't locate build tool.  Check tool locations.

As you can see at the end part, it states “Couldn’t locate build tool. Check tool locations”.  All I want is to remove a file and it is getting so annoying as I encounter this error. 

Urgent help needed! Thank you very much for the time spent.

I have got the point. I am suggesting the way of solution as 

  • Go to Project
  • Set Language Tool Location
  • Expand the Microchip C18 Toolsuite
  • Then Expand Executeables
  • You will see the assembler,librarian and linker locations
  • Go head and select each individuall and browse to their location.
  • If you use Windows 7 ENTERPRISE then you will get the required file here
  • C:Program Files(x86)MicrosoftMPASM Suite
