Unable to decrypt a Hard Drive using Safe Boot

My hard drive is encrypted using Safe Boot.

I am unable to decrypt it using the associated SDB file.

After checking the contents of the SDB file, I found the following messages: “

Auto Domain script using existing template because a new machine was trying to use its name.”

And this happened on "such and such a date."

Could this have changed the SDB file?

Is this the reason why the original drive can no longer use it?

Unable to decrypt a Hard Drive using Safe Boot

Hi Justin,

Encrypted files sometime had trouble on decryption that's the reason why many user where not using this kind of software, instead they just putting a password on their valuable files individually.

Old Windows program will need 3rd party to download another program like this, don't worry theirs a freeware available on the internet.

If you are using new Windows program like xp try to do this:

1. Select folder you want to encrypt.

2. Click properties, advance button, secure data, apply and ok.

If it's not work, try to uninstall your 3rd party program for encryption/decription and install another software for this.
