Troubles with my Adobe Premiere CS5 no video after importing

Hi!

I just recently installed Premiere CS5 with my laptop. I wasn’t able to test it right away because I have to visit a friend. Meanwhile, I checked again my software if it’s going to work. It all coincided except every time I import videos. I can only see black screen. I converted the media file to .avi, it is still the same no picture. I tried to check in the internet what could be the possible resolution with this problem. Can you provide me instructions on how to resolve this?

Thank you!

Troubles with my Adobe Premiere CS5 no video after importing

Hello Patricia!

This is a common issue and/or bug with Adobe Premiere ever since. I just want to share what happened, what I did to have this issue with my software.

I started using Premiere since 6.5 version of it. Closing and reloading the software will give it a quick fix. It will happen again. What I did is that I launched the software and selected first in the “Load Project Settings” window and selected “Multimedia Video for Windows.” Here I have the same issue. Just plain black screen.

Re-launching the software will not solve this issue. Better is to select “Standard 32kHz” from the “Load Project Settings” window.

I suggest saving the newly created project will save the settings and to avoid having the same problem once you reopen the software. A proper update with this software will bridge-in the gaps and lapses. You can download also codec for video formats so you have more extensive capabilities with Premiere and you don’t need to convert any videos if you have to import anything.
