This has been my problem about almost a week already. I find it annoying when I am closing the computer. Every moment I shut down the Windows XP there appears something ''add word pop up'' for a sudden that states; running and I have to end task. It is so annoying since I can do trying to shut down it for almost 10 times attempt for it to close normally.

Please help, any idea what issue causes my problem.

Hi there,

Try to update your Anti- virus and scan your computer well. Sometimes Internet browsing can cause viruses when downloading. Use to download a Registry cleaner because we might not know that installation and uninstallation process may cause the trouble.

If the availability of a program that provide fast fixes to your computer like Norton System Works, try it to use. Parts of it are the Norton Speed Disk, Norton Disk Doctor, Norton Antivirus and Norton Crash Guard. Try to use these utilities to check your computer from any problem or issue encountered and this will automatically fix it. Another kind of antivirus is AVG either a free version or not may do, and also Microsoft Security Essentials.

I hope this step may help you.

You are infected by a Trojan. shutdown virus. It is an annoying Trojan that keeps on popping up a captcha during operation or during shutdown. To remove this download Malwarebytes and CCleaner. If you can’t download on your PC then try another PC with internet connection and download the 2 files and save it in your USB.

Note: Don’t place it in a folder just send the excel file directly to your USB. Install Malwarebytes and perform a quick scan, restart the PC when told. Now install CCleaner and perform a disk cleanup and a registry cleanup to fix registry issues.
