Hallo,

The following procedure will be of great help if you want to transfer your items from iPod to new iTunes:

  1. First of all you will need to quit iTunes.
  2. And then you will have to locate your iPod:
For Mac OS X: It should be on the desktop
For Windows: You will get it in My Computer
  3. Next you will need to locate your iTunes folder as follows:
For Mac OS X: It will be in the following directory: /Users/username/Music
For Windows: It will be in the following directory: Documents and SettingsusernameMy DocumentsMy Music
  4. After that you will have to drag the iTunes folder to the iPod. Note that this can take a while if you have a got lot of songs.
  5. When the copy completes, you will open iTunes.
  6. And then you will choose iPod on the left side of the iTunes window.
  7. You will then click the Eject button that is on the right of the iPod icon.
  8. Lastly you will disconnect the iPod from the computer id the "Do not disconnect" message no longer appears on the iPod screen.

Regards,

Carl
