You have to connect your ipod to your computer and wait for your pc to recognize it.

Then click start on your computer then go to my computer then to removerble devices double click and open apple ipod.

Then go to tools then drag down to folder opions.

Then by now you should see a view tab try and find a subfolder (hidden files and folders)then press ok.

Then double click on ipod control open music folder then copy them to your hard drive. Now you can
Open up iTunes. In the new folder you created, open up each individual folder name it,select all the music files in the folder then take them into your library in iTunes.

If you’re wondering how to transfer or move your music files from your iPod to your computer, here’s how. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB cable and then start iTunes. Make sure you are using the latest iTunes to avoid problems. If you haven’t updated yet, go to Download iTunes Now then download and update your iTunes.

In the iPod management screen, go to Options and then check “Enable disk use”. You will then receive an alert from iTunes. Here, click OK. Note: if you received an error message prompting you to reformat upon connecting, it means your Apple iPod was originally formatted for Mac. In this case, you will not be able to use it on Windows.

One workaround you can try is to install MacDrive. This allows you to access Mac-formatted drives on Microsoft Windows. Next, open My Computer or Windows Explorer and then open your iPod drive. After that, click Tools and then Folder Options. Select View tab. Scroll down and select “Show hidden files and folders” under “Hidden files and folders” section then click OK.

In your iPod folder, go to iPod_Controls, and then Music. Here, select or highlight all the folders and then drag or copy them to a folder in your hard drive. After the transfer, select or highlight all the folders again then right-click on one folder and select Properties. In Attributes, uncheck Hidden and then click OK. And that’s it.

You may notice that the songs are scattered everywhere in different folders and have four-letter names. This is fine. The titles of the songs will be restored once you import them to iTunes or other media player.
