Hy,

I used tor browser or Vidalia network in my windows XP. It works nicely in windows XP operating system. Usually when i faced slow connection in my Mozilla, then I connect to establish tor browser network for get fast browsing access.

You should re open your Tor or Vidalia to resolve your problem. This is temporary solution for you.

When you installed your tor and Vidalia in your Ubuntu or debian, you should configure it correctly be connect with internet. When it will configure again with correct port of tor then it will not show this kind of error message.

Thanks

Id like to bump this. This is a problem with permissions of the folders containing tor and its configurations. Vidalia does not like multiple users having access to it. I have had no luck changing folder permissions.

The error log states this is a beta version to boot. Thank you former poster, but your XP solutions will not work on a debian system error.
