Hi, I just purchased Call of Duty 2 game (COD2), and when started using it, it gave me a call of duty 2 DirectX error. Tried to download the latest version of DirectX but still the same call of duty 2 DirectX error appeared. How to solve it?
This error occurs only page file usage is well beyond what is recommended for gaming. The recommended page file usage is generally 100MB at max.
To resolve it:
1. Go to start- run
2. Type MS config press OK.
3. Go to the start-up tab
4. Click all check box when windows start. None of these are necessary for windows to operate. Please take note of all small boxes which are checked.
5. Unchecked everything.
6. Click on the service tab.
7. Make sure the box at the bottom next to ‘Hide all Microsoft services” is checked.
8. Uncheck everything in this list as well
9. Press OK once reboot is prompted.
