Thoughts on file recovery professional (file recovery software)

Hi there,

I have a PC running windows xp and I accidently formatted a partition that contained all of my media files which consists of mainly audio files and a small portion of video files. I was wondering on a recovery software called file recovery professional and I need your thoughts on whether the software is good enough since the file recovery professional version is not free and require purchasing.

Hello Mr Todd,

FileRecovery is a very good tool to recover lost or deleted data. Even files deleted from recycle bin can be recovered through this software. FileRecovery is available in Standard, Professional, Enterprise and Enterprise Commercial versions. I will suggest to try their demo first if you want to buy it. It will give you a good knowledge about how efficient the utility is.  However there are some free tools which are as good as those paid softwares. Check out these utilities :

1. Recuva Best free file recovery tool from Piriform, the creator of the famous system cleaning tool CCleaner. Very easy to use, simple wizard and advanced options, available both in installable and portable version.

2. Glary Undelete Very good utility with nice interface and easy 'Files', 'Folders' type view. Allows search by Date and Size.

3. Pandora Recovery : Another excellent tool with a advanced search option named ' Surface Scan'. Easy to use, colour coded and percentage indicators.

4. SoftPerfect File Recovery : Recover deleted files with a very easy search option.

5. Avira UnErase Personal : Very easy and simple recovery tool.

6. ADRC Data Recovery Tools : Another great small and simple recovery tool.

It is possible to recover the files and data that we have deleted or formatted.

There are many software that are used to recover the files.

I suggest you to use On track easy recovery. This is a professional software. Many firms use this software to recover their files.
