If your processor is older than core 2 duo then it is need to exist any thermal sensor to know what is your processor temperature on the other hand if your processor is core two or latest then core two duo you have the device to know what is the temperature of your processors.

Now you just need some software not some I mean you can use many kind of software to know your processor temperature also you can use Gadget in windows 7 in the desktop.

So here is some link where you will find some temperature knowing soft. Check this Core Temp 1.0 RC5 :

Hello there!

You can check the temperature of your CPU through BIOS. Enter your systems bios / setup. You can navigate in your motherboards Power or PC health Menu to see the CPU TEMP and SYSTEM TEMP. To check your CPU temperature while in windows or Linux, check the cd that came up with your motherboard for any software that will enable you to check your CPU temperature.

If you do find one, just simply install it and open the program to see the CPU temperature.

But if your motherboard disk does not have any, there are free CPU temperature software that you can use.
