Is there a way to delete email accounts removing all information?

Asked By 50 points N/A Posted on -

Some people make fake email address and keep those accounts unused. They are just the load for servers. But I'm not a scammer. Actually, I want to shift all my information to a new email address and delete the existing one. Is there a way to do so? I want to learn how to delete any Gmail account or a Yahoo account. Any suggestions?

If you wish to delete your Google mail account, here is how. Using your web browser, go to Google Account Settings. Here, you are probably required to enter your email address and password even if you are already logged in to your account. Once you are in, scroll down to the bottom of the page.

In “Account management” section, select “Delete Google Account and data” then confirm your account deletion. Select either “Yes, I want to delete my account” or “Yes, I acknowledge that I am still responsible for any charges incurred due to any pending financial transaction and I understand that under certain circumstances my earnings won't be paid out”.

For Yahoo, deleting an account is also easy. To delete your account, go to Terminating your Yahoo! Account and then read the information. In case you are required to verify your account, enter your email address and password to continue. In the password field, enter your password. In the next field below, enter the CAPTCHA code.

Finally, click “Terminate this Account”. As explained in the page, deleting your account will have a 90-day delay. This is for security.
