There is a problem with my fax by adsl.

Hi all,

There is a problem with my fax by ADSL. We are using ADSL line for our broadband internet connection as well as for the fax machine number connected to a telephone. I was just wondering why we cannot receive and send anymore. Can you help me troubleshoot and find the main problem?

There is a problem with my fax by adsl.

 

Hi Trevor,

Just make sure that the wire to the fax is correct. ( For example, the splitter into line side of the fax machine and it should not be on the phone). There are some faxes dial and receive a handshake from the end of others. It means they disconnect the phone side just to ensure a clear connection.

There is a problem with my fax by adsl.

 

A splitter is a device that splits the signal in data and voice signal you need to check the following device to make sure that your line is working properly.
