Hello Onam,

The TrueSpeech files usually play in the .wav format. TrueSpeech offers great compressions for the .wav files for voice. Many files that have the .wav extension usually produce the TrueSpeech that is used for recordings including voice mails. Windows Media player works very well with these files.

You can be able to change TrueSpeech using ffmpeg SVN-r15815, but their quality may turn out to be a little bit poor. The will be degraded. Therefore another app that you could try using to convert the files is Cool Edit as well as Sound Forge, but you can as well use commercial apps.

Regards,

Carl

Hi!

I think you're referring to Text to Speech Application of Mac OS. If yes, here's what you need to do:

  • Go to the Apple Logo in the upper left corner of your desktop.
  • Open it and choose System Preferences. A multiple of icons will appear.
  • Find the System Catalog and choose Speech.
  • you will see two selections which is Speech Recognition and Text to Speech. Choose Text to Speech.

In the Text to Speech box, you can customize the System Voice you prefer to use, how fast you want the System to speak and read, where do you want the System Voice to read certain files, etc.

I hope it helps. Thanks!
