Tax Software not NETFILE certified

I have bought a new software for tax preparation and I am facing some problems with it. Then I found out that when I bought the software package for tax preparation, it was not ‘NETFILE’ certified. Is it okay to use this software?

Tax Software not NETFILE certified

Hi Rein,

Please be informed that only NETFILE certified tax preparation software and web applications are accepted and are processed on the transmission website. You may need to check with the software developer if the software you have purchased was certified after you have purchased it. If it is indeed certified after your purchase, you can ask for a software update so that you can upgrade your application.

If the tax preparation software you are purchased is not really certified as it has not been submitted for certification, you would not be able to use it to file your tax return. You may ask for a refund if possible.
