I have a multimillion connection for hard disks and I have made a switch from the IDE to SATA, will this improve on the speed and performance of my machine? How many Sata drives can a HP Dx 2300 support? What would the maximum support of disk space in Windows 7?

Hello Joanne,

Yes, there'll be an increase in performance. It might not be visible though in everyday operations but will likely standout once you try to transfer files within your drive- as SATA has better transfer rates than IDE. As for Windows 7 HDD support, there is no exact amount but it can handle larger than 2 TB.
