Good day TechyV users and friends!
I have 11 CSV files that are corrupted because of an unknown computer virus. These CSV files are important to me. Here is my question, can corrupted CSV files possibly recovered? Are there ways or steps to recovering corrupted CSV files? If yes, what are those? Any comments and solution would be nice. Thank you very much.

Hello Roya,

This depends on the extent of the corruption. Have you tried using the 'Open and Repair' functionality when opening files in Excel? Below are the steps for that:

  1. Open Microsoft Excel.
  2. Click the Office Button (Excel 2007) or File button (Excel 2010) then select 'Open'
  3. Navigate to the file through the Open dialog box.
  4. Once you have the file selected, click the down arrow beside the 'Open' button.
  5. You will find additional options in that menu for opening the file, select the 'Open and Repair' option.
