Yes, it is possible to turn your Smartphone camera into a “Cosmic Ray Detector”. For this, you have to download two software’s from the internet. There are few steps to perform this and these steps are as follows:

• Firstly, download the two applications “Data Logger” and “DECO” from the internet.
• After that, cover your Smartphone’s camera lens with the duct tape.
• Then, place your Smartphone anywhere in any location, but put the face of your Smartphone’s screen up.

No, there are not any safety measures to be considered when performing this task from your Smartphone camera.
