I am running Windows 7 and I am getting error on my Dell machine's  ST Micro Accelerometer and it is stating, "ST Micro Accelerometer has a driver problem". And then when I tried to reinstall it, it will show something about the ST Micro Screen Detention Sensor that is not compatible on my system. I don't understand since I downloaded the driver for Windows 7. When I tried to install it again for the last time, it shows, "Hardware changes might not be detected". What can I do with this issue?

This just means that the software is not compatible with the version of your Windows. It's either you have downloaded a driver for Windows 7 32-bit and you are running a 64-bit PC or vice versa which is why it is producing an error. Or you can try to go to your Device Manager and then check if the ST Micro Screen Detection Sensor is there or ST Micro Accelerometer. And then reinstall it through the link below:

Download ST Micro Screen Detection Sensor

Or

Download ST Microelectronics Accelerometer
