Sometimes IDM asks for Password before Resuming

I'm facing a strange problem with IDM. Sometimes when I'm downloading a movie from IDM & pause the download & resume it after some hours, it asks me for a password at the resume. "Realm: Authorization Required".

Authorization is required for this site/path. You can set login information for this download by selecting properties item in a right click context menu. Or add login information to "Options/Sites passwords" to use these login/password every time you are downloading files from this site.

Details:

HTTP /1.1 401 Unauthorized

OK

If I click on cancel, it cancels the download. I can't pass this stage & I've to start downloading the movie from the beginning.

Please note that No Authorization is actually required to download movies I'm downloading & it is totally free. But the password is asked only while resuming.

Help needed.

Seems that you are having a connection problem, how you access internet ? Broadband ? Wifi?

Normally if you are connecting to internet using broadband connection you will have a temporary IP from your ISP, after disconnect from internet you will no longer combined with IP assigned by your ISP, normally when you are downloading a streaming video such as .flv or music file it will come through your IP address if you download and pause it and disconnect and  later again you connect and try to download from the place you have stopped will not work.

Secondly some sites will give you access only for download one or more video at a time. After that you will need to re-download from it from the beginning.

Or there can be a server side restriction of resume.

Do this:

Right click on that incomplete file, select option 'Refresh download address', then a page will open in your browser, at the same time, a box will open from IDM with 'Stop waiting' option don't click it. Later after sometime the IDM will flash 'The download address refreshed successfully' then click the 'Resume download' option, it will resume for sure……..
