I got this while I was installing a new software and cannot download any updates further. Windows 7 is at the base, and the pop up occurs while installing OSD. The error comes during the task sequence step. Please help me.

Solved Error 0x80091007 – OSD Task Sequence Fail By Hash Value

The error 0x80091007 means that the “hash value is incorrect.” For any application to be installed it carries a hash code, a unique generated number code that names it for verification.

This occurs mainly while installing Windows 7 along with SCCM OSD, a task sequence which has failed for any software.

To address the problem, to resolve the error the following solution is to update the package with the latest version.

Right-click on package-> choose Update Distribution Points-> and select “Access content directly from a distribution point when needed by the running task sequence”.

If it fails here, then manually get the package again by removing the previous one, use package status to verify the package removal.

Go to Site Management –> Select Computer Management –> Software Distribution –> choose Advertisements –> Right click on the task sequence advertisement you’re deploying and select “Properties” –> hit Distribution Points –> check “Access content directly from a distribution point when needed by the running task sequence”.
