This is one of the transient error. This error generally occurs when the update installer is already processing requests from other clients. Since it contains OS files so it cannot be intruded before finishing the on-going tasks. You can follow these steps mentioned below-
- Go to ‘Control Panel.’
- Click on ‘Programs and Features.’
- Click on ‘View Uninstalled Updates.’
- Uninstall those updates which failed during installation.
- You can also use the ‘Windows Cleanup Utility’ for removing the updates.
- Reset the ‘Windows Update Components.’
- Download the ‘System Readiness’ tool.
- Now, perform the Windows Update.
- After updating it, reboot the system.
