I’ve been getting windowsupdate_8024402c or windowsupdate_dt000 error while I try to update my windows PC. After this, I’ve never been able to read any mail using windows live. Can anyone help me out with this?

These errors are particularly based on the restriction in the network access for the windows update server by any of the anti-virus or even the windows firewall. So first of all, turn your anti-virus off and then allow the windows update server to go public using the windows firewall.

If your PC is connected to the internet, then you need internet explorer to auto-detect LAN settings. So that windows can go online to get some updates.

– Go to internet explorer

– Go to LAN settings. First, go to tools and click on internet option and then click on the connection tab.

– Go to automatic configuration and click on automatically detect settings.
