So can you block gambling sites on iPad tablet

Got myself an iPad tablet the other days. And while browsing a bit, playing, searching for cool stuff to download, I keep getting some sites, specially gambling sites as commercials or pop-ups. It is very much annoying and I don't know how exactly to stop them from showing up. I know how to do it on my computer but this is iPad and I am new to this category. So can you guys tell me how can you block gambling sites on iPad and stop them from showing up?

Hello Franklin,

One of the reasons why those gambling websites keep popping up on your iPad can be connected to the type of browser you are using. Some browsers primarily restrict or asks you before those websites pops up.

However, for you to block those sites from disturbing you when browsing, follow the steps below.

1. Launch the Settings app on your iPad.
2. Locate the General icon below the Settings app and tap it.
3. You will see the Restrictions icon. Tap this to enable Restrictions.
4. Enter your password and confirm it.
5. Shift Safari off. This disables it from been your default browser
6. Choose a safe browser from the App store.

A very good strategy for choosing a safe browser that blocks these pop ups are browsers meant for kids. These browsers are primarily selective and can be useful for you if you want to enjoy your iPad.

Hi,

To block Ad pop-ups follow the steps below:-

1. Go to the setting of Safari.

2. Slide the "Block pop-ups" on.

3. Hold the power button for sometime and a red slider will appear. Turn off your iPAD by sliding this and restart your iPAD by holding your power button.

I have an iPAD myself and the above procedure works.
