Hello, my name is McWilliams, a Sociology student who happens to be in his third year. I would like to know if there are smartphones that can support a micro SD card which has 2TB of size maximum. What are the names of such smartphones and among these smartphones, which of these ones would you recommend for me as the best so far? What are your reasons and can you explain your reasons by comparing and contrasting these machines. Thank you.

Hello,

Smartphones use microSD cards as an external storage solution. Theoretically, microSD can go up to 2TB. In this sense, many smartphones might be able to support 2TB microSD.

But many manufacturers show that only 128GB microSD memory is supported. It’s because the manufacturers doesn’t create 2TB microSD cards.

LG G3 officially supports 2TB microSD card and is one of the first smartphones with such capability. However, only 128GB microSD is available until now, and 2TB microSD not available at all. That’s why, if you buy any smartphone, you’ll have to go with 128GB microSD.
