Hi guys,

What's the best deal I can get for storage under $70?  I want to back up my notebook files, and completely reformat the pc.

It seems that you are looking for an external hard drive to back up big files. I suggest 2.5" USB drives so that you could easily carry it anywhere without the need of AC adapter. How big will the size of the whole backed up data be? If you are not that picky with the brand, then you could go with the cheap ones.

If you are not bothered with all the special features you can get in your hard drive and wants to go for the simple backing up of files, Western Digital has a $59 offer, the Western Digital My Elite, that can store up to 500GB. Buffalo MiniStation Stealth (HD-PCTU2) costs $57.60 . Though it may come cheap, it can have pretty speedy transfer speed due to its slim package. It weighs 5.82 ounces only, just as heavy as an iPhone. If you are in need of portable ones, then this is the one you may need.  Toshiba Canvio Basics Portable is $59.99 with its feature of a simple plugging to copy and transfer files. It also stores 320GB.

Actually there are many hard drives to choose from. Start first with what kind of hard drive do you want that may fit your lifestyle, then work from there. Hope this helps!
