Hi Adam,

I have solution for your problem

To change file extension in Linux:

1) Directory to the location of where the file is located

2) Type rename < filename. Current Extension > Space < filename. Desired Extension>

3) Press enter.

4) Done

In this way you can change extension of file. But, make sure to make change to exact extension.

Hello

You can do this right from your file manager.

Find your file, right mouse click on it, go to rename and change your extension to whatever you like just after the dot "."

Maybe your file manager won't recognize your new extension so logoff and logon again to ensure that everything is ok.
