I have a serious problem. Whenever I try to open Skype on my laptop, I get the skype error api ms win crt runtime cannot start the program. How do I solve this? I need to use Skype as soon as possible.

Skype Error Api Ms Win Crt Runtime Fix

This error is not one of the rarest of errors. This error causes the program to shut down immediately. You will notice that the error message will suggest you reinstall Skype. However, this might not be the best solution.

First, you need to do is to check the version of the Visual C++ installed on your computer. If it is not the latest version, you need to upgrade your Visual C++. It is easier to just uninstall and reinstall Visual C++ Redistributable. This will upgrade you to the latest version.
