Siri’s alternative for Non iOS devices

It was a big problem but not anymore. There is a good news for older iOS devices users as chown (a well known and respected developer) has finally released the first legal Siri port to public for older generation iOS devices and it has been dubbed as Spire. This port allows various iphones such as

• iPhone 4
• iPhone 3GS
• iPod touch 4G/3G and
• first-gen iPad users,

jail broken on iOS 5, to run Siri, Spire has official been available only for iPhone 4S users.

Since Siri will not work on older Smartphone models, there are still other alternatives to choose from besides the popular Siri Assistant and having almost the same features that this application offers. Here are some of the applications similar to Siri and are great alternatives for this application.

• Dragon Go – Macworld | Downloads — this is a free application developed by Nuance Communications. It supports iPhone [original version], iPhone 3G, iPhone 3G S, and iPad. This is very similar to Siri because all you need to do is say what you want and the application will deliver the results. This application requires Wi-Fi, 3G, or EDGE network connection, and iOS 4 or later.
