My monitor is not showing any thing !!

I brought a Nvidia 8400GS recently and I fix it on my motherboard. When I switch on the supply, I cant see a alight on my monitor.

I am using core 2 duo processor on intel motherboard and have 2GB ram. Can some give me a solution for this problem, please.

Your computer monitor goes black is due to a faulty graphics card. Try out your old graphic card. If it worked out. You have a faulty graphic card. You can also connect up a new monitor to your PC, then check if you have a blank screen. If you continue to have a blank screen, then it's likely your video card is faulty.

Another reason why your monitor goes blank is due to loose connections. The connection from the monitor to the mains is usually a culprit, as is the connection between the monitor and the video card. And the final reason why your computer monitor goes blank? It's possibly because of a short circuit in the motherboard. This is the most undesirable outcome of course, as you might have to replace your entire motherboard. However, it's possible that this can happen – so keep your fingers crossed and hope it isn't the case.

Hi,

May this is normal and I also have some experience. First remove your VGA and just plug into onboard port and confirm that fault in your VGA, then clear your BIOS and replace VGA and check, also check that VGA from another computer. Check it in every ways possible. May be your VGA damaged or something and try to claim your Warranty.

No, that will not work in an instant. If you installed a new video card on your computer’s motherboard, you have to install first its driver to make the video card functional. Just inserting the video card on your motherboard will not make the video card work. Since you have an NVIDIA video card, go to NVIDIA Driver Downloads and search your video card from the options.

Once you located your video card, download it and install it on your computer. Restart your computer if you are prompted to complete the installation. After this, your new video card should be functional and the LED indicator on your monitor should light up. This should fix the problem.
