The Sims 3 – Looking for Solution

Hello 

Just I bought a latest HP laptop to use the sims 3.

Also the base game starts tremendously, so I was ready to set up my expansion packs.

But in the halfway in the installation process of World Adventures, an error message showed.

Something needs to act with the GameplayData.package file.

As well I've attempted installing it four times, as well as I've also uninstalled & then reinstalled this game. The disc is ok and the game is totally patched. 

Here is the error:

Feature transfer error

File E:GameBinGameplayGameplayData.packaye

Error Data error (cyclic redundancy check),

Retry Cancel

How I can repair it? I need a correct answer. Please help me to solve it.

hello there pat, upon seeing the image that you attached in your question, it is very clear that your installer has a problem. if you download that file you should try to download it again. of if you buy your expansion pack you should replace it with a new one. redundancy check error means there is some part of the installer that is corrupted. hope this answer helps you.

That’s a CRC error you got there. When you receive this error on a file it means the file itself is broken or damaged. Unfortunately, there’s no way to fix a broken file with CRC error except to replace it with the original file.

Since you receive this error when installing the expansion pack for your game “The Sims 3,” this indicates that one of the files in the expansion pack is damaged. You cannot install the expansion pack if there is one file that is damaged. If you downloaded the expansion pack, try downloading it again. You can also download this expansion pack on Steam: The Sims 3 World Adventures.

This expansion pack supports Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows Vista Service Pack 1, and Windows 7. It requires 2.4 GHz or faster Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor, 1 GB RAM, Microsoft DirectX 9.0c-compatible video card with 128 MB video RAM and supports Pixel Shader 2.0, 3.5 GB free space, and sound card.

The game “The Sims 3 World Adventures” is a simulation game developed by The Sims Studio, published by Electronic Arts, and released on November 17, 2009.
