Shutting down problem such that I constantly have to force shut down

I have been using my HP laptop for over 2 years now.

Just recently, it developed this shutting down problem such that I constantly have to force shut down it just to turn it off.

I worry as I know this could cause major issues in the future.

I don't really use it for a long time, just about 2 hours or so.

Could anybody give an advice what causes this and how to resolve the issue?

Thanks for whatever input.

For you situation, I recommend you to do to windows system restore, can find in Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore Then choose restore point before you encounter that issue.

I don’t know that really the problem is, what I mean is the exact behavior of the error because you did not instruct or mentioned it.

So I can only suggest you systems restore. If your problem did not solve by system restore, might have a problem with your computer hardware and not on the software.

You may try also to think some action that you have done before you encounter this error and please correct that so that you may not need to use system restore.

Hellow oraliarfielding,

Your hp laptop has reason why it’s not shutting down normally.

Here are 2 most probable reasons,

1. You must have recently installed new software that is causing your laptop to hang.

2. Your laptop could be unresponsive because it has been infected by a virus.

Solutions

a) Uninstall the recently installed software in your laptop could the one causing this.

b) Scan your laptop for Viruses and clean/ heal them

c) Back up all your files in an external drive and reinstall the operating system or just do a repair of your OS. This does not interfere with your files.

Thank you,

Henry
