There are many threats other than virus in the system. I would like to know if I have to really care for them. What is the threat rate and how well is the protection? I do pay my bills online where I enter critical data. Isn’t basic Windows sufficient? There are many software for the functionality. I am simply confused to choose from many available spyware and malware removal programs. Can anybody guide on best software for the same? Also, it will be of great help if anybody can help me on steps to find out whether given system has already affected by spyware and malware

Spyware and Malware make use of the data in your computer to manipulate, collect or make use of in negative terms. They act as viruses, only that they do not entirely affect your machine. These Malware steal and send information collected from your computer to the creators of the programs. It is therefore necessary to protect your computer from these programs. Basically, having a basic antivirus is essential.Kaspersky is the best software to detect the programs. For the sake of having more security to your computer,I recommend you use Microsoft Security Essentials. It’s one of the safest programs and can work concurrently with other anti viruses. You need to however update it regularly.Normally, the anti viruses will tell you when there is a program that is running that is not good. You need to set the anti viruses to automatically scan your computer regularly to check if there are any unidentified programs running and will give you the option of which action you will undertake.
