Hi,

While doing an installation of SQL server 2008, I get a dialog box and not letting me install the same. Checking on web, I changed the system regional setting to US English and still the same.

I need to have this version of SQL installed on my Windows XP machine. Please help me with this error message.

Setup Failure

Setup has encountered the following error:

‘LandingPage’ is not a valid value for setting ‘ACTION’. Refer to Help for more information.

Error code 0x84B40000

                                                             OK

Good Day,

SQL Server Error

The above error occurred when your OS language is different and you usually encounter this problem while installing SQL Server 2008 and that is the reason why you cannot proceed to SQL installation. In order to resolve this error, you need to change the Language into English of United Kingdom and USA only.

Please see the following procedures:
Click start menu > on control panel > select Regional & Language options
> Select English about the UK / USA language > then applies followed by Ok button

Hello Dear, 

Thanks that you have shared your problem with us. Dear it seems that your source is out of order. There are some files damaged or infected by virus. You should clean the virus first with antivirus then try to install it again. I hope it will not make any problem next time.
