Over the years Microsoft has improved the Microsoft SQL Server originally sold to them by Sybase. Though Sybase has remained in the market renaming it's product to Adaptive server Enterprise. The Microsoft SQL server has continuously been improved. What sets the SQL server 2005 from the previous 2000 model?

There are so many difference with the SQL Server. Obviously, the 2005 version has more available functions than the 2000 version. There are so many functions and its hard to enter all of the functions here. Also, the 2005 version works well with the Visual Studio programs and Visual Basic .Net programs.

The 2000 use DTS but the 2005 version uses SSIS (a more advance and much improved version of the DTS) The users of the programs has more options to choose from and can vary on what you set to them. But its ODBC and connection to MySQL is quite failure and needs to be improved.
