Every photo has got some specific dimensions, and maintaining the aspect ratio is crucial for the image to look good. Here are the steps:

1) Go to Settings.

2) Go to Personalization.

3) Go to Background.

4) Go to Choose a Fit list.

5) Select Centre.

Now your image will be displayed as the background with proper dimensions. Success!

With the Windows wallpaper, you can use any image as your desktop wallpaper. If you have a photo of your own, you can use it in addition to the images that Windows provides. The supported image formats you can use for the wallpaper include:

  • BMP
  • GIF
  • JPG
  • PNG
  • TIF
  • DIB
  • JFIF
  • JPE
  • JPEG
  • WDP

To set your photo as background or wallpaper in Windows, click “Start”, “Control Panel” then “Personalization”. Here, click “Desktop Background” at the bottom of the screen.

On the next screen, click “Browse” then navigate to the folder where your photo is located then click “OK”. Your photo will appear in the box so just select it. Now, to set the position of the image on the screen, you can experiment. Under “Picture position”, select from the following positions:

  • Fill
  • Fit
  • Stretch
  • Tile
  • Center

When you are finished, click “Save changes”.
