I'm getting an error on my machine. It says, "SDTray.exe – System Error. Rtl150.bpl is missing, the program must be reinstalled." I don't know where this error is coming since I have deleted some programs recently because I need to free up some space on my computer. And those programs are the ones that I am having issues with so I have deleted it. Can someone please tell me what to do with it? Am I infected with some virus? Thank you.

SDTray.exe is associated with Spybot and can be found within the app folder on your Program Files. rtl150.bpl is a runtime library. You can be able to resolve this if you will try to re-install Spybot. And, other antivirus and anti malware programs can also remove each components if they found some virus signatures from them. If you have it installed in your computer, try checking on its vault as well.

Do not worry because rtl150.bpl is not a virus but a security tool. Try to remember if you have Sypbot installed in your system before this issue appears. And if you happen to delete it. If so, you may need to install it back. However, if you do not want to install this again, just download and install CCleaner and then run it on your computer to remove any traces of Spybot.

Since you said you need to free up some space on your hard drive, deleting an application is not the right way to do it. In Microsoft Windows, an application is installed on the computer to use a program and needs to be uninstalled if you no longer wish to use it and you want to remove it.

But the idea of simply deleting the program from the hard drive to remove a program is very improper because it will only cause other issues on the computer. There is still another way of fixing it by reinstalling Spybot on the computer. If you still have the same installer you used to install Spybot, run it to install Spybot and restore the application.

Once it is installed, click Start, Control Panel, and then Add or Remove Programs. Select Spybot from the list then click Remove or Uninstall to uninstall the program. After that, restart your computer. After this, you will no longer have the SDtray.exe error every time you start your computer.
