Screen consuming a lot of power on Kit Kat 4.4.1

Hi there,

I Have Google Nexus 7 and I have noticed after update to KitKat 4.4.1, the battery is drainnig too fast, checking on power consumption, I have noted that, screen alone is taking 65% of power, so I minimized screen brightness to the least possible brightness, but still I get 65% from screen consumption of power, what could be the problem? I have not added any extra Applications, How do I get a lower screen power consumption?

Hi !

Try to install the free version of Ds Battery Saver and it will force a deep sleep when screen is off. Standard settings are fine.

Or you can try to press the Power button on your device. Touch and hold the power off option in the dialog box. Touch OK in the following dialog to start safe mode. Try using your device in safe mode to see if the problem persists. If it doesn’t, restart your device to get it out of safe mode and uninstall recently installed apps to see if you can pinpoint the one that’s causing the problem.
