Hi

I have recently installed Scooby on my system and it was installed successfully but when now I try to open the file, it won't let me open it. It results in the following error on the screen:

The error message says:

The version of this file is not compatible with the version of window you’re running. Check your computer’s system information to see whether you need an *86(32-bit) or *64(64bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher. What should I do next to resolve this issue? Any ideas are most welcome.

Thanks

mike

Hello,

The first thing you need to do is to check whether your operating system is 32 bit (x86) or 64 bit (x64).

To do so follow the below steps.

  • Right click on my computer and select properties.
  • In the properties window check for the operating system type as shown in the below figure.
  • Now go to the below website and download the Scooby game for your version.

Thank you.

Hello Mike,

Here are the things that you will need to try in order to resolve that issue:

  • Try installing the program in compatibility mode for Windows Vista, or  Windows XP.
  • Also try running the installer as Administrator.
  • If you are installing from  a CD, browse your CD and look for the Setup.exe.
  • Right click it and choose the Compatibility tab.
  • After that check the box run this Program in Compatibility mode for (and choose Vista or XP)
  • And then check the box run as Administrator.

Regards,

Nicke
