Hello TehyV buddies!

I am having some problem with Microsoft Sharepoint 2010.

Whenever I try to save a site as template I often encounter a problem.

The error states that the saving process cannot be completed and a correlation ID is presented.

Looking up in sharepoint’s log file for the given correlation id, it said: SPSolutionExporter: Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException: Cannot complete this action. Please try again. > System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0×80004005): Cannot complete this action.

Please try again. at Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequestInternalClass.GetViewsSchemaXml(String bstrUrl, String bstrListName, Boolean bFullBlown, Boolean bNeedInitAllViews, ISP2DSafeArrayWriter p2DWriter, Int32& plDefaultViewIndex, Int32& plMobileDefaultViewIndex) at Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequest.GetViewsSchemaXml(String bstrUrl, String bstrListName, Boolean bFullBlown, Boolean bNeedInitAllViews, ISP2DSafeArrayWriter p2DWriter, Int32& plDefaultViewIndex, Int32& plMobileDefaultViewIndex) – End of inner exception stack trace

How can I solve this problem?

Can anyone help me please?

I would be very thankful for any help rendered.

Thank you!

If this is the first time this happened, try restarting your computer then try it again. See if you are now able to use it after rebooting the system. If you are still unable to run the application, check if your system is compatible with it. Since you are able to install and run the program, it means you are using a 64-bit processor which is required by Microsoft SharePoint 2010. Let’s see now if you are running it on a supported operating system.

Microsoft SharePoint 2010 works with Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 [Standard, Enterprise, Data Center, Web Server], and Windows Server 2008 R2 [Standard, Enterprise, Data Center, Web Server].

These operating systems need to be in 64-bit and not the 32-bit version or else it will not work. Microsoft SharePoint 2010 also requires installing Microsoft SQL Server 2005 64-bit Service Pack 3, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 64-bit Service Pack 1, or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2.

For the complete list of the technical specifications of the application, please do visit here.

Hello,

There are following possible reasons of this problem to occur.

The SharePoint list account is outdated, or the Authentication Id can only be used once.

This can be the compatibility issue of the system configuration and SharePoint 2010.

You have tried to wrap everything inside: SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPrivileges().

I hope this information serves your cause.
