When using the operations navigator V6R1, I expend the Application Administrator to provide access to FTP (File Transfer Protocol), ODBC (Open Database Connectivity), uploading and downloading of files etc. I would like to save that setting on a monthly basis. How can I do that? And also, how do I save the security settings of the backup system. Can anyone help me?
Save security settings in operations navigator
You will need to check the User Function Registration APIs so that you can be able to add, change and/or retrieve the function usage information. You will need to ware that this is not quite a "security" function; but is just simply a registry of information, so the system does not enforce the settings that you will add there. Applications that you have may use this registry for any purpose, or they may just ignore it completely. In case there is an application that does not read these entries, then you will find that application will not enforce the rules.
